Steering wheel question

I'm Quite a tall guy and I have long legs compared to my arms and while the meganes steering wheel is adjustable up and down its not adjustable in and out.

This means to get close enough to the steering wheel I have to get too close to operate the pedals properly and to get to the right distance away from the pedals means I'm too far away from the steering wheel.

Right now I'm trying to compromise by getting to the right distance for the wheel but it means bye-bye to heel-toe stuff (my ankle just wont do that kind of bending) and my back is getting achey on longr journeys.

Is there a way to mod the car so I can gain the in-and-out adjustment?

doubt it as such. fitting an aftermarket wheel and see if there is an adjustable boss. ether that or making up shims for the boss

You can probably extend the boss. Ask your local garage about doing this. I guess you only need a couple of inches.

Is there more adjustment options on the top of the line Megane? Can you swap over the steering column with that?

Yeah, its just a couple of inches. I'll have a look around for whether or not the up-market models have adjustable stering and to what extent.
