ok so I'm a pure novice car enthusiast. My plan is to strip my skoda fabia down to bare metal and rebuilt to racing standard(aiming for rallycross)

My question is when I start where should I start?
First I'm thinking taking out he battery...then attacking the interior.
Stripping the electronics and engine(documenting what and where I pulled it from)

Basically I'm looking for an order to strip and then rebuild.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Id get the engine and suspension set up right first and the focus on the interior and bodywork. If the car doesn't work with your proposed mods you've not wasted all the extra work and it should mean you have a working car to test and tweak for longer than if you just stripped everything out.

What engine were you thinking of dropping in?

honestly I don't have specific mods in mind...only performance

I suppose a golf engine would be a step in the right direction. I half thinking of putting the same engine back in(1.4L polo engine) it has low mileage on it...and I wouldn't mind ragging it a bit
