Why do cricketers (etc) wear white because you keep cooler because black absorbs more heat
And if I remember correctly that claim was based with the engine when the vehicle was still -when moving the results were different.
This has the added advantage of not having to constantly polish the aluminiumIf you want to change the colour but not add a layer of insulating stuff to the surface (daft thing to do) then why not anodize?
It looks neater in black, silver tends to shout out LOOK AT ME I'VE GOT A BIG SHINY INTERCOOLER!
WRC cars were using it before it got banded.... they could run leaner air fuel ratios since the methanol increased the knock resistance of the air/fuel charge, also water injected into the inlet has been proven to be more effective than just water spraying an intercooler, the first saab turbos used water injection before intercoolers became more convinient...As far as i know the world isnt ditching intercoolers far from it
It sounds like you are saying you can lose the intercooler and run water methanol - perhaps you could explain why and on what set up this is possible
