seat 1.8 turbo engine

also what varient are you after ?
theres 150bhp with tiny turbo - cable throttle - only varients with large ports on the valves
150 with a slighter larger turbo - cable throttle
same as above with - electronic throttle (DBW)
180 with the same turbo (DBW)
210 bhp (DBW)
225 bhp (DBW)
240 bhp (DBW) - limited to audi only for limited ed of the TT
 
yeah the AMK and BAM do carry a premuim but it depends on much your wanting from the engine. if your afterbig power the K04 that is in the 210-240 isnt really that great and will struggle with 300 even with hybridising. much better ditching it for something else.
you can pick up the lower powered varients much cheaper and build them stronger as you would have to look at this even for the more powerful vairents anyway
 
all of the engines have mounts in same place, so none are harder/easier than the others to fit.

better off going for the AUM or AGU codes, as these have stronger wrist pins and can take more power than standard BAM etc.
 
youll need the engine mounts for the 1.8t engines. the 1.6 ones sit differently so the engine wont be straight.
would also advise changing the brakes to the octavia vrs, tt etc setup with the 312mm disc setup.
to do this from the 1.6 youll need - hubs form the 1.8t 1.9TDi (110bhp + models) 2.3 or 2.8 golfs,boras,leons,octavias,tt or a3s off the top of my head.
Callipers and the carriers from the Vrs, cupra, TT 180+ models, anni golf or the V6 models.
if you cant get the carriers from those models then they are avalible seperatly.
