SCORPIO COSWORTH
Hello everyone
A while ago I bought a Scorpio Cosworth BOB as a non runner. It has a recent genuine replacement engine but no red key and I can't get it to start. Is anyone able to point me at a specialist who can fix? It's a really good estate example and it would be a real shame to break it.

Hi, you certainly have yourself a real problem here. These Red keys are connected directly to the immobiliser fitted. The only solution that I know of is to have Ford supply you with a new master key and then recode the immobiliser. It's about £100 - 150 I believe. Phone your local Ford dealer and chat to them. I don't think there is a cheap workaround. Good luck

Hi
Thanks for that, I asked the Ford people next door, the technician knows the system but they no longer have the necessary kit to do the job! I have decided to buy a Camems management system and will rewire. Buy in haste, repent at leisure.

Sounds like a good plan, a real pain in butt but definitely a good option. Good luck.
