Hello,
I feel that the rear suspension on my S-Type is too soft.
On some of twisty, bumpy roads up in the North of Scotland, during our summer holiday, the mud flaps scraped the road.
This was usually > 55mph and on downhill bumps.
My friendly tame mechanic suggested uprated shocks and springs.
Does anyone have any suggestions / comments or experience of doing this ?
Thanks in advance for any replies,
Alex.

Don't drop the car too much 40mm max really. Get adjustable shocks so you can set the car up to suit your driving style.

Are the existing shocks leaking? Perhaps the car suspension is not operating at it's optimum. Are the bushings in good condition? A worn bush can really stuff the handling.

Getting suspension for the Sport model may be suffient an upgrade. Other wise try Bilstein, Koni and Spax for suitable upgrades.

Oh and may I also extend to you a very warm welcome to TorqueCars. Nice to see anotehr Jag owner in our ranks!;)

Thanks Waynne,
I'll go and have a look at the bilstein, koni and spax websites.
Cheers,
Alex.
