Today I saw a car with some rusty panel joins. It was actually my wife that spotted it and she pointed out that she hadn't seen a rusty car in quite a while.

I have to admit that I haven't noticed a rusty car either. So why do you think this is?

1) People are just buying newer cars.
2) Cars are better made than they used to be.
3) Modern car paints give better protection than they used to?

The Dreaded Scrappage Scheme!!!!!

There are almost none left because those who could afford it went and got a brand new Kia or some rubbish while the people who couldn't afford it got a slightly newer, better used car

Some of the most fun times I've had in cars were in rusty beaters

seen a saxo round my way that has a bonnet that is covered as in no paint at all. must be a replacement, rest of the car is fine lol.
but that is the oonly one ive noticed
