Recirculation valve and oil burn

The torque cars article on 2.0 tfsi issues is fantastic.

There is mention of a recirculation valve with regards to oil burn. Which valve would this be?

My PCV is whistle clean. The only oil burn issues are when on a track day and driving 100+ mph it burns about a litre after a few runs which is not good.

There are no major oil consumption issues at urban speeds or when driving on the motorway 70-80mph.

I generally only need to top up the oil about 200ml every 1-2 months but half a litre+ on a drag race is just wrong!

No signs of oil leaks and compression is fine so trying to figure out the source of the burn.

Thank you

Do you get any smoke on track? Most FRS smoke on track when the oil gets really hot, it's suspected it seeps past the seals as the oil thins. It's fine at first or on the road but annoying on track when everyone keeps telling you your mint 2k old turbo is dying lol.
