reboring 2003 evo's on

am new to the forum, I have a evo 7 and am wondering how far u can safely bore out the engine?

Hi and welcome to TorqueCars, nice to have you along. I've seen an EVO engine taken to 2.5 litres but I think that was more than a rebore. A stroker kit combined with a rebore at least I would have thought.

Each engine should be stress tested ideally, especially if you want to go for the max.

What sort of power gains are you after?

thanks, i've not really found much about reboring on the internet but i've found plenty of stroker kits ranging from 2.2 -2.6 but am not sure about the 2.6.
i'm looking to heavily tune my car at least 700hp

Bottom end rebuild is essential then. Have you spoken with Norris Designs? They have a few kits that hit pretty good power figures.

Personally i'd stick to around 2.3 and strengthen the engine then look to turbos and gadgets to up the power. High boost and water injection would be the top level option. Autronics boost controllers are highly rated even with the standard turbo.
