Anyone know a way to increase torque in a tiptronic r34 gtt that's not too expensive?

Greetings and a Warm Welcome to our TorqueCars Forum my Friend!

Good to have you along with us :)

I moved your post here buddy as you were not going to get much of a reply on a dead thread ;)

We do have a GTR & Stagea specialist on this forum called: Sleeper, I am sure he will know what to tell you. Hopefully he will see this and be able to help you with the knowledge that you seek.

thanks for the build up os :amuse:

It really depends if it is 100% stock or not - so I really need the cars spec before any sensible answer can be made

hello welcome to the forum i have a gtt,i dont know of any cheap tunning tips!, but mine has a front mount intercooler, hks induction kit and dump valve, hks exhaust with decat pipe,a nistune board in the ecu and an upgraded fuel pump and a boast controller, with all this fitted a remap brought out 320 bhp my next step one day is to put a bigger turbo on which i,ve been told will make about 380,without going to the expence of bigger injectors etc,so really just by changing the induction and exhaust etc can make a difference good luck with what ever route you take in tunning your car, they are a great car in there own right .

Would suggest you find out the duty cycle of your injectors before increasing power to ensure they have enough flow @ 80-85% max DC to avoid detonation due to insufficient fuel supply.

IMO if you increase boost the motor tune needs checking via a power run on a dyno as more pressure = more air = more fuel may /will be needed to keep the AFR safe/correct.

R34 - increase torque - not too expensive are 3 phrases not normally found in the same sentence. As#!most things in life, you can do it cheap or you can do it correctly. Rarely do you get both especially with Skylines. Gummys little lot was well over a £1k iirc. Just words of wisdom from someone whos been down the Skyline tuning road mate ;)

yeah i was told about the upgrade but would get it fitted by a spaciallist who would do it all ,but i thank you for the tips;)

sure did just the remap, boost controller and nistune cost £1400,luckly the car came with exhaust and induction fitted,so with the intercooler i put on and other bits and bobs probably come to around £2000:blink:
