Question about combustion chambers

I've been doing my first bit of digging into engine tuning, and I have a question. What would be the problem with fitting a head with disproportionatly large combustion chambers and fit a huge supercharger to make up the compression ratio figures?

because the combustion chambers are in the block and not the head.
the CR is set by the piston not by the amount of air
