Hello ,looking for a programmer for my 2008 Toyota Yaris I need rpm raised 500 rpm fuel and timing remapped .Car is used for Road racing . in SCCA B spec class.

Im am from Texas we run all over the United states . Engine is 1.5 with open exhaust system ,cold air intake .A/C delete

JP surely there is someone in the states that is capable of hacking the factory EMS if that is what is required by the class rules OR are you allowed aftermarket computers if so then the sky's the limit.

You asked a straight forward, simple, question. You weren't asking for specifics or advice, just where a mapper is. How do think we would find out? I Googled it, found mappers in Texas (https://www.google.com/search?q=ecu+remapping+Texas&oq=ecu+remapping+Texas&aqs=chrome..69i57.9964j0j7&client=ms-android-huawei-rev1&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#trex=m_r:1,m_t:gwp,rc_q:ecu%20remapping%20Texas,rc_ui:2,ru_gwp:0%2C6,ru_q:ecu%20remapping%20Texas,trex_id:R2gZhe). Not sure why you couldn't do that.

Have you considered learning to remap yourself? I know a lot of people take this route, especially if their car gets modded frequently or needs specific setups for different tracks.

Can we please refrain from name calling please.

I'll say this once..... If we have nothing constructive to add to this thread. Then don't comment at all.

OP. I can't answer your original question. But we do have members from the States. So hopefully one of them may see this and respond.

with racing it's only cheating if you get caught so it wouldn't be the first time that someone fitted an aftermarket EMS inside the factory case.

FIrstly I apologise for the tone in this thread, we are friendly and constructive and this is a forum rule which has clearly been broken here. I will be snipping a few posts from this thread as it is not the sort of thing I, nor our readers want to be reading.

The Toyota ECU's are hard to remap due to the way they are locked, most tuners over here use a piggy back ecu - as that is not an option to you can you replace the ECU internals or swap out the chip (I guess this is not really in the rules either)?

NB: Megasquirt and APexII are commonly used on Toyota blocks as replacement ECU's but others are available out there.

A bench flash is probably your only option but I don't know anyone who has the skill or know how to do this.

We have a specialist tuner as sponsor on here, so try John at JFA automotive, if anyone over here can help you it will be them. They might be able to setup a custom ECU for you to adjust the parameters you want. But you reallly need this done locally so it can be setup on a rolling road.

Also are you permitted to use a vernier pulley to adjust the cam timing? This might achieve a better peak power band for you.
