possibly modifying citroen picasso engine

Hello everyone...... (first post).

Current Car
2000 Citroen Picasso 2 HDi sx (first registered 19 09 2000)

I am assuming my car engine is 90 bhp. How can I determine whether or not it is 90 or 110bhp
If its 90 bhp......... I would like to have the existing engine / cpu modified to increase bhp and torque, to assist in towing a caravan. (Caravan's unladen weight is 760 kg).

An increase mpg would also be appreciated.

Both wife and self are disabled, and wish to enjoy our caravanning as much and as often, as possible, the extra bhp would help to make driving with caravan in tow, easier.

Biography
Not a boy racer, could be classed as an old fart.

Not interested in a DIY job; if its necessary, would prefer the work to be carried out by processionals.

Had thought about changing my car for a 110 bhp car ...and then just learned that my existing car engine / CPU could possibly be upgraded.

Any advice or suggestions at this stage would be most welcome..

Hello and welcome, I'm not sure the 2000 engines can be remapped very easily. This is something HDIfun will know for sure.

To find out the power output of the engine you'll need the full engine code, some makers indicate the power on the vin plate located somewhere inside the car.
