    Hey all
I'm wondering what mods i can do relatively cheaply to my stock mk3 1.8(carb) golf..

Things i'm thinking of at the moment:
New air filter (not sure which though..)
    possibly getting a 16v cylinder head (it's 8v currently)
    New carb (which?)

in the long term, maybe turbo charge....

Any tips/advice for this particular engine? Help will be appreciated!

Hello and welcome to the site mate

    2.0 16v gti swap
    2.9 vr6 swap
and its probably cheaper to get a 1.8 turbo engine and have the imobilier coded out than trying to turbo the current engine
