just changed the head gasket on my rover 200 and i got the head skimmed i put it all back together and went to start the engine and a flame come out of the carbareta, plz could u give me any ideas at wat it could be thanks:love:

The 200's did not have a Carb do you mean a Rover 2000 perhaps?

In any case check your cam belt position very carefully.

Yeah double check the timing, thats the most likely thing

Any news on this prob? Check the timing but also check that the plugs are all on in correct order.

if the timing is out to far then th valves will be bent, head off again then

check all your plugs are in the correct places and also check you never got nothing on your cams while taking the head off because i am currently doing the same as you if you need any help on it just let me know
