Greetings!

I'd like to remove all the plastic and rubber trimming on the exterior of my old PassatB5. Reason for this is so I can run a check for any rust and get rid of it.

I'd also like to patch up any botched paintwork under there (you can guess I love my Passat).

Anyone know how hard-handed I can get when unclipping the lining? I wouldn't like to break any clips, or worse still, destroy the lining strips.

if its the doorstrips your own about, youd better take the door card off 1st as if its the same as the golf/a3/bora/octavia etc then they may be rivited as well as the clips.

Be careful around this time of year, the cold will make plastic fittings brittle, avoid forcing anything & try some gentle heat (hairdryer or hot water works). :)
