Peugeot 307 HDI 2,0

[PREBEN]

For the past 2 weeks I have 4 times experienced that the display in my car shows the following...


"STOP"
"engine coolant temp. too high"


NO OTHER warning is shown and after turning engine off and waiting a bit I can drive on and the warning is no longer on the display. A few days later it may accur Again.
I have checked fluid and so on and everythin is fine...

Is the temp gauge up as well?
Oil temperature?

Once egine is warm try feeling the water pipes in the various places round the engine bay. If some are still cold you may have a blockage somewhere.

Could even be air in the system. Is the low coolant warning message showing?
