Peugeot 306 convertible roof issues, annoying, french style!

What's up my friends? glad to be back again after a long time for real.
I am doing this peugeot 306 convertible of a friend and am having roof issues. roof goes down, put altogether but wont go lower so the coverage can be closed...... what is the issue? roof structure is ok, checked. hydraulics? electronics? help is welcomed.
