peugeot 205 1,4 8 valve engine problem

heeeeeeeeeeelp.
my car wont take the thottle. i tryed to by a new potentometer for it. dont work. then i got a used carburetor from the same engine. that dont work either. now im lost. please let there be a god in here who knows someting.
