As most of you will be aware, i am currently re-furbing a set of Streetwise 17" Addendums.

I have now completed 1 wheel, and looks pretty good i reckon.

This is the sort of damage that was on the wheels before i started:

This is how the wheel looks now, this was the most badly damaged one:

Just got 3 more to do

Using standard Halfords silver alloy wheel paint, comes out pretty good after adding the laquer.

angle grinder.lol

friend of mine took the lips of the alloys for his cosworth by the use of the said angle grinder.
he jacked the car up, spun up the wheel and gently placd the grinder on the lip.
came up a treat, surprisingly.

How did you remove the deep scratches?

When i came to doing the most damaged wheel, i cheated a bit.

I used a electric sander with a triangular end to it, to rub down the worst bits. Managed to grind out most of the damage, and the paint fills in the tiny imperfections.
A sander like this one:

For the other wheels, i used the filler gel in the refurb kit i bought.

I bought the wheels as they were, and got them for a very good price:D

Very nice job youth. How long it take? I just fork out and send mine to the refurbers and get them powder coated because I'm lazy.
