Hi all

I am new to the forum so I apologise if this has been covered before, I have just bought a Laguna Estate 1.9Cdi (sorry Sports Tourer) and have a noise from the front suspension. Checked for any movement in the wheel bearings and noticed a new trackrod end has been fitted to the offside. The rear wiper does not work and the aircon is not cooling, checked that the pump is operating when the switch is activated, any help would be appreciated

What sort of noise is it? A grinding, squeeking or clonking? Does it do it on rough ground or when turning?

Are the cv gaiters split? How do the rubber bushings look? Have you tried applying some grease?

Welcome to TorqueCars

Was the car purchased from a reputable garage or private? Warrantied? Also was it HPI checked? I only ask as a noise plus new parts would make me want to know more, such as has it had a recent knock? Is the noise when driving along or on bumps and turning? If latter could be spring seat jumping, if so drop a bit of engine oil on the seat of the spring.

Aircon will need checking by a specialist, might just need a re-gas, wiper might be switch or fuse.

Hi all

The car was HPI checked and purchased from a trade dealer so no waranty. The noise seems to come from the front offside suspension and only happens when on uneven ground. There is no noise when turning or braking and is a muffled bumping sound, the CV gaiters are sound and I have been unable to find any movement with the wheel jacked up.

I would get the bushings checked and the engine mounts as well just in case it is the engine bumping around over rough ground.
