Hi everybody, I am a golden oldie not so golden these days, I live in Dorset UK and currently own a Mondeo which is the first Ford that I have owned. I bought this car nearly three years ago because my late wife was having trouble with her balance and finding that our current cars a VW Passat and a BMW 5 series were both affecting her balance.
Strangely enough the standard mondeo that I have didn't and I have grown to like it.
It is a Mark IV Hatchback 2.0 L ecoboost (petrol) and now I have done just over 10000 miles in it. In my younger days I have stripped and repaired an automatic gear box (ie. replaced the rear brake band), replaced springs and suspension items and generally maintained all of my own vehicles.
A couple of years ago I replaced the front suspension on my 5 Series BMW E39 which to some extent helped the ride.
