Hi Everyone,
New to TC. We have a 2000 Renault Clio 172 set up solely for track use.
We have no intention of competitive racing - it's a track day toy for us to have a bit of fun in, and so far has been great. There's a lovely story behind the car which I may well find the time to tell one day...
There's plenty done to the car already - racing cams/drive shaft, ported header, straight through intake, performance exhaust, grooved/drilled discs, braided brake lines, forged alloys, semi-slicks, strut braced front and back, adjustable eibach shocks and it's been completely stripped out to reduce weight. It's currently approx 850kg and running around 200bhp so whilst not a rocket it's already plenty quick enough to enjoy circuit driving.
We'll be continuing to develop the car as we go on (only bought it in November '22) to see what it's capable of! Next steps will probably be a track-focussed ECU remap, and a closer look at the way it breathes.
If anyone has any tuning tips for this model of Clio, we are all ears!
