ok it needs a bit of work, but its all original.

Nice you'll have some fun with that! I always loved the Mk1's, the insides still looks quite modern and crisp!

Did you give up on the Jag then?
 
just swapped the old plugs and leads for new ones.
magnicor plug leads
iridium plugs
new dizzy cap
new rotor arm
k&n air filter kit.

car is alot smoother now than before.

back to the rust treatment next. ho hum
 
just spent some time rubbing down rust.
the wheel arches wern't as bad as i thought.
done the spoiler and the metal panels above as well.
just surface rust.

some elbow grease and some colour polish and the paint is better.
i'n not trying to make a show quality vehicle just a tidy usable one.
 
wheels were foobared, the paint is a short term remedy until i can aford some new ones.
coilovers are on the cards when money allows.
 
Glad you didn't replace the Daimler (same year as my Double Six VdP). Your MR2 is a nice little car, but "little" is the key word for me! It came as a shock and somewhat embarrassing when I struggled to get behind the wheel of an MR2 a couple of months back!

Being 6' 3" and just qualifying for a free bus pass, struggling in and out of small cars is out of the question for me these days. Now, I HATE buses so I'm resigned to driving large cars... and I prefer powerful cars. Consequently my kid's inheritance is drained away by fuel bills - tough, huh?

handles light a go kart.
