New member 850 question

Hi. my name is Roger. I drive a V40 but I also have an old M-reg 850 which has engine and gearbox problems.Question. Could I fit a T5 2.3 engine? I imagine I would need to change the ECU,air filter and the radiator. Any advise would be welcomed.

get one of the older t5's that have a throttle cable cant be to hard

but wouldn't it be easier to buy an T5?

you also have to do;brakes,clutch,exhaust,struts,etc,etc :amazed:

also you would need the gearbox and drive shafts, probably the engine wiring loom and the intercooler.
for what it would cost to buy all the bits and the complete engine you could just buy an early T5.

Agreed, there are loads of T5's about now for £500 or less.
