New Car getting the usual "Badger" treatment!

Hi guys n' gals hope all are well. Well this time is no exception for me going nuts on a car lol. So first of all, lets recap for those that have forgotten or haven't seen my cars since being a member on here.

First was the Calibra 2.5 that had a 3.0 engine then went back to a 2.5 again:-

Then was the Vectra SRi that had a Turbo lump dropped in:-

Then came the Scooby:-

Had a Frontera for a bit aswell:-

Both of those went and then got a Vectra GSi when my daughter was born which I had remapped, uprated cams, exhaust work and filter (mild tuning for me lol)

Now i'm again tuning the life out of another car. it's great cuz i've now gone back to the old school and bought my 4th Calibra hehe. It was owned by a 66 year old for 11yrs and was cared for no expense spared at all. I'm now the 4th owner which aint bad for a 14 year old car. So far it's had:-

Tuned 3.0ltr engine from Courtenay Sport
Courtenay Light weight Flywheel
Courtenay uprated clutch
Courtenay 4 bar fuel pressure regulator
Uprated fuel pump
uprated injectors
Courtenay panel filter
Courtenay centre section
Equal length drive shafts (next best thing to a LSD)
Cool running thermostat
Larger radiator
25mm lowering springs
And remapped at Courtenay and now running 245bhp normally asperated :)

Including the service history it has £10,498 worth of receipts :):):)

Gonna get it cammed, ram air system, 150cpi sports CAT and hopefully some time in the future i'd like to supercharge thsi one.

Right, piccies. She isn't much to look at so far as she is seriously a wolf in sheeps clothing. But if you bare in mind that the chassis has done 212,000 miles (engine has done 93,000) shes a minter:-

Sorry about the dots on this one, i messed up when exporting in my graphics program lol.

And for how many miles this car has done, i have never seen a Calibras leather in this condition:-

My plan as far as looks are to colour code the bump strips and get a set of nice white 17 or 18 inch wheels on:-

I'm goin to try and mount my camera on my dash when I go to a track day in a few days so i'll see if my passanger can record the dials so you can see how quick she is ;)

What ya reckon then peeps?

Cheers, Badger

Erm...

Already have mate:-

Tuned 3.0ltr engine from Courtenay Sport
Courtenay Light weight Flywheel
Courtenay uprated clutch
Courtenay 4 bar fuel pressure regulator
Uprated fuel pump
uprated injectors
Courtenay panel filter
Courtenay centre section
Equal length drive shafts (next best thing to a LSD)
Cool running thermostat
Larger radiator
25mm lowering springs
And remapped at Courtenay

The 3.0 is the bit that was in it ;)

Nice one. Another great project. Does the other half mind?

I suppose you now have another pair of hands to help out.

Yeh the misses is fine about it. She knows what i'm like so at least shes happy with me doing to a car that she likes aswell. Theres so much room in them considering they are a 2 door coupe. But I seriously need to get the wheels sorted cuz it just loses grip if you floor it in 1st, 2nd and 3rd lol. Great fun to drive.

 Best tell Waynne to upgrade the server, there are going to be a lot of posts on this one :lol:

Hehe oh yeh. Especially as i've already done a shed load of research and pricing up and many phone calls to Courtenay. The next things to be done are as follows:-

4 x Kent Cams supplied from Courtenay = £350 and should 18+bhp
Gas flowed inlet manifold, manifold devider and lower inlet manifold= £234 and should 10+bhp
Enlarged throttle body= £70 using my own unit and should see a further 5-7bhp.
Then another emap to compensate and then should be looking around the 260-270bhp normally asperated :)

But this will follow spending the next £200 on a set of bigger wheels and the lower springs. I want it sitting on 40mm not 25mm. Just isn't enough and 40 is nice fit for 17" wheels around the arches.

Hi mate, welcome back and good to see you are still up to old tricks. I'll buy a load more hard drive space on the server then!

I just know it's going to get silly! You say 3.0 V6 today but lets see what tomorrow brings Monaro 4.0 Supercharged here we come! ;).

ahh i thought that had been done by the previous owner

how does the equal length drivesahfts work ? surly because of the position of the gearbox then 1 has to be longer than the other

There is an equel length shaft on either sdie, but and extension for the longer one rather than one short and one long, it's 2 the same with an extension. I think thats right, LSD and what not i still need to talk to Courtenay about aswell as the drive shafts so i'll find out a bit more of that soon.
