Myvi 2009 performance upgrade

Hello and welcome.
Is your car stock at the moment? How much do you want to do to the car as that will dictate the cost (plus your location, your skills at doing the work yourself Vs paying a professional, whether you are happy with used parts, reconditioned parts, if you want OE new, or third party new parts).
As you can see, there's a lot involved |B

Thanks for the reply. Only thing thats changed is the wheel and suspension. Currently using 17" local wheel and gab adjustable suspension. Nothing has been done to the engine. I'm thinking to do some performance upgrade on the engine. Do u know any place that I could go to? I'm in klang valley and of course i need a professional to do it.

No idea, sorry, you'd have to research your local businesses. Look for mechanics who know what they are doing/talking about. Sometimes you might have to visit and talk to them to get an idea of their workmanship.

Anecdote time: when I first got an Impreza I took it to a local garage who had a good rep, head man pops the bonnet, looks around and says, "so.... where are the spark plugs on this engine?" I thanked him for his time, closed the bonnet, got in my car and left (the sparks in a flat 4 are on the side). Researched a few more and visited the next garage on my list. I was impressed by the yard full of Imprezas (showing owners from far afield trusted them) and the mechanics who clearly knew their stuff, also being owners and racers of these wonderful cars. Years later they are still getting my business.

Hello and a very warm, welcome to TorqueCars from me the admin!

Sorry for my slow reply, it's been crazy busy here coping with lockdown and looking after the family. Hope you are doing ok.

Cost wise, I'd set a budget of £1000 for cams, head work and exhaust and intake plus timing mods for best effect on that engine. But it depends on your country and who does the work.

If I had a tight budget I'd focus on suspension and handling mods first. Then do the engine later.
