In a production car, the engine in the SSC Ultimate Aero.
HP: 1183 to 1287 Torque: 1112 ft lbs

On the SSC website it says 1287 hp. Everywhere else it says 1183hp, so I'm not sure. But it's a 6.2L Twin Turbo! OOOOOOOOO YEAHHHH!!!!

According to the SSC website, it has a power to weight ratio of 2.14 pounds per horsepower, which is pretty scary. I wonder how fast it would accelerate with drag slicks. 0-60 in under 2 seconds, anyone? Now all they have to do is find a longer road so they can smash the production speed record!:amuse:
