hi again people, well here i go again, ive got yet another car lol, and touch wood... so far no problems with this one lol, (other than the key!) but seeing as i got help with my fiesta and then my escort, ive moved up in the world lol and now got a mondeo lx td, (WAHEY!) does anyone know how much antifreeze needs to go in though, ive already changed the oil filter, fuel filter, air filter and glow plugs, (even though when i went to fetch them i asked for glow sticks, i wondered why they laughed at me and asked if i was going raving lol) but im a woman, wot do u expect lol!!! so yes, all i need this time is the amount of antifreeze, pretty simple i think! and does anyone know anything but central locking and keys? my drivers door locks with the key but wont unlock, so i have to use passenger door, and ive changed the battery in the key fob but that doesnt work either, if anyone knows anything, please drop me a line! cheers xx

usually around 30 - 40 % for the antifresse go with what it says on the bottle better changing it and flushing the system coz who knows when it was last done if ever?

keys might be an easy one try swapping the tumblers on the drivers and passengers door.
might help

I would get a remote central locking kit for the car - better still get one with an alarm. Sometimes the locks get a bit stiff and it is easier to lock than unlock, you might find it frees up a little. Lock and unlock the drivers door from inside a few times and try the key again.

cheers people, just one more thing, ya know the part of the key that comes off (where the battery fits, and it has 3 buttons) can ya buy new ones of that or are they all programmed to fit that certain key? is it expensive to get a new button bit, ive heard u only have something like 15 seconds to change the battery, not sure if that true, just dont wanna play about with it if im guna mess it up, cheers again

usually require a hole new key

you looking at around £100 for it but you need to go to a ford garage to get it made up

think you have slighty longer than that to change them most are flash written which without power will last a few years dunno bout older ones i never had probs with the civic one and it took me about a minute coz a dropped the new battery trying to get it in
