Hi all
I have a Mk1 Golf 2 door 1100cc I have had it in the garage since I bought it in 1996, I started full renovation last year, lock down pushed me to get moving, I have a GU 1800cc engine and the original 1100cc engine I was just wondering what engine you would put in the car and why, I have had the idea of keeping it standard as it may be purchased by a younger person so allowing the chance of relative low insurance cover, please give me your input as Neither engine has been rebuilt yet so I may be persuaded otherwise, any other tips or thoughts that you may have as to the style of renovation I should carry out for this 2 door Golf would be helpful.
