Memories fading to rust

There were quite a few nice cars you saw everywhere years ago but sadly there are few left on the roads, with most having rusted away.

I miss the Capri, Opel Manta GTE, Lancia Fulvia, AlfaRomeo GTV and the Granada Mk1 2.8!

What cars do you miss seeing on our roads and do you think they are actually as good as we remember them or have they become subject to the Rose Tinted spectacles of time?

Funny you should mention this Obi, I saw a Capri 1.6 Laser the other day driving through the city, it looked in mint condition; great to see it on the road being loved

Granada Mk1 was a 3.0 litre. The 2.8 engine was introduced for the Mk2. I liked them as well.

It was definitely a mk1 so must have been the 3.0 I just remember the massive exhaust and the lovely engine sound.

The later 2.8 then was that the injected engine?

Most of the Mk2 2.8 litre models were carburettor fed too. 135bhp. The injector fed 2.8 managed 150bhp.
