I have a '98 M Roadster (S52, black on black 5 speed) with some performance upgrades and I have noticed the seam width is increasing on the passenger door, to about 1/4 inch at the top on the handle side. Yet, the hinge side has not shifted, so I am thinking that the issue is related to the back half of the car. The driver's side is fine. Could this be caused by worn shocks or bushings? To my knowledge, they are original. I don't believe that the car has ever been raced; it was original when I purchased it. It now has 120K miles on it. The engine has no leaks and runs very strong. Can anyone provide some insight?
