Longest time you've owned a car

What car have you owned the longest and why?

We had an Astra 1.4 Hi Torque for about 10 years! It was economical and gutless! Replaced this witha 1.3 Toyota Corolla GS.

I'm not quite sure this counts as these were technically the wifes cars. My cars tended to have a 2 or 3 year turnover as I usually bought sheds!

Kept My Nissan eight years.

Would still have the 406 had silly other driver not gone straight across me at a T jct.

about 6 yrs, pug 205 gti, but kept it in the garage for 3yrs as was out of the country. Sold it when i came back and then the guy promptly took it out for a 40mile hammering back to Glasgow (after he had been told it had been sitting around and not driven) and annihilated no end of things in the engine bay so left it abandoned at the edge of the road

9 months i suppose on everyday cars. dont really count but had vw variant estate for 2 years while under going restoration. never drove it on the road myself came on a flat bed. left on a trailer..lol
