What are you life goals when it come to cars? You get a lot of people saying they would like this car, or they would like that car. But never make a proper attempt to own one. What is your goal in your life, what car do you aspire to dirive one day, wether it be after you stop working or what ever.

These are mine.

Fist car - Tick
Evo 8 - Tick
Nissan GTR - Next fast car on my list after a few years
Escort Cossworth - Future project car
Lambo Diablo - My life will be complete when I have one.

Mine isn't as much owning a particular car but I would like to go competitive racing one day. One car I will buy one day is an AC Cobra, that is a few years ahead but will happen. I'm not one for supercars which is just as well! Couldn't afford one, well perhaps an MG SV-R ;)

Cobra, what a car.

what a price tag!!, I know i'm a pessimist :sad2:

I on the other hand would love to design and build my own sportscar or a kitcar to get me started, i've got plans to build a Haynes Roadster which is like the Lotus/Caterham/Westfield/Robin Hood 7s

anybody got any ideas for tuneable engines to go in it?
I was thinking Vauxhall XE

Could be off the mark here, but what about the 1.3 sazuki Hyabusa engine? Then turbo charge it?

the only reason i hadn't thought about going down the bike engine route was the fact that i know less than nothing about them, is it an easy install? would it have to keep the chain drive system or would a shaft driven one be a better option?

as soon as i have the space and the time i'm gonna get started on the project and pics and specs will be posted in the WIP section on here

it seems i have taken another thread off course, sorry.

Not to sure. I know of people who have done it. Dont know any one personally (just seen people at my local partco and autosave shops) I just know they are a light/small engine that produce a hell of a lot of bhp. And if your making a LOZ size car, then you would want something small and light. Weight is the key when building small cars.

there's a svr in the mg garage by me if you have a spare £20k iirc

call me boring but i would like a new scirroco for my next car. when they hit arround the £8-10k mark i think this will happen

Hard to say as my tastes change so often. Really fancying an M3 CSL next, well I say next but it will be "as well as". Don't know how people manage with one car, booooring :D

Gone reeet off most Jap cars, their clinicalness is boring me more and more. R34 GTR is defaintely on my list of cars to own though.

I think probably:

First car - Done
Punto GT - Done twice lol
Mk1 FRS - Done, will be keeping for years to come.
M3 CSL - As an addition to the FRS and whatever daily driver.
R34 GTR V-Spec II - Probably to replace the CSL.

Those are my car aims atm, but the last two are future classics without doubt and I will struggle to not pay silly money by the time I come to buying one I feel. Not interested in super cars either maaaayte.

Into your future classics. I would love to be able to buy something that goes up in value!!

You just have to choose well, and sometimes you just get lucky. Look at some of the Capris for example, could be bought for pennies a few years back in good nick, now they're starting to climb and climb in value. Not even technically a brilliant car either. Same applies to the Escort RS Turbos, Series 1's especially.

It's not just Fords, look at the E30 M3! I don't know why but I can't see the E36 or E46 M3 going the same way, you can just tell. Too common perhaps.

AT LAST!!!! I have achieved one of my dream cars the Cossie RS500!!!!!

a new car pack has been released for Forza3 containing ten classic cars that the Forza community voted for, i just had to tell someone as i've been waiting on it coming out for the last year!!!!

lol there's the Merc 190E EvoII, 71 AMC Javelin, BMW 2002 turbo, 70 Chevy El Camino SS, De Tomaso Pantera, Ferrari 250 California, the Delorean, 78 Saab 99 turbo, 83 Volvo 242 turbo and of course the Cossie RS500

worth the 400ms points just for the Cossie imo:lol:

Must be, because I'm not really interested in the other cars! I'll be getting it later, I don't go outside in the snow

MA, tramp on a sandwich! :) where do you get these sayings?

 I have no idea, I must just pick them up somewhere and come out with them :embarrest:

there were some weird choices put forward for the vote especially since they were apparently car buffs, the vote was organised by jalopnik.com and there were actually 15 cars in the final, they left out the Escort Cossie, Mitsubishi Starion, Lancia 037 Stradale, BMW 635i, Shelby GLH and the GMC Syclone

the 037 made it onto the Ultimate collection that was released a little while ago but apart from that they have completely overlooked the rest, the 250 california just came from nowhere
