I am from Texas but living in Nashville currently due to job requirements. I grew up racing around town with dad in his 67 Camaro ( now mine) and just fell in love with speed and customizing cars. With moving around so much I never started a build since it’s just more to move later. Well, now it’s time and I want to do it right, so I came here to learn.

I have a 1995 S10 that I swapped a mostly stock 95 corvette LT1 into. 700R4 and a Ford 9” rear. Did the distributor conversion and also mounted a 650 Holley and electric water pump/ fans. It does have a fuel cell with electric fuel pump. No frame modifications yet. It’s a fun driver but the LT1 isn’t exactly fast. This truck will be my first dedicated drag vehicle and I am looking to learn what is needed and gain any insight and advice I can get.

Thank you! I plan on modifying the current LT1 in it. Looking to get a large hyd roler or a solid roller setup. Im sure the factory aluminum heads would have to be worked over. Really would refer to keep the 700R4. When I had it rebuilt it got all of the stronger internals, a manual valve body and *#*#*#*# kit. Also has a 2300 stall converterStill trying to determine exactly what rear gears to use. Transmission gear are factory ratios. Also, I’m running 28” street slicks

im just in the process of determining what combination works best

I am sure the outcome of your hardwork would be worth every penny put in. But plan it well & execute it in the best. ATB
