I can't understand why the authorities who seem terrified of introducing a harder more demanding license test but insist that their ministerial drivers/chauffeurs undertake further instruction.
Over here there is much ado and hand wringing about the road toll especially in holiday season when death and injury numbers rise.
The usual response is to increase fines and demerit points so it seems to me that if you are digging a hole in the wrong place then digging deeper is not what is needed to fix the problem.
IMO there are so many behind the wheel that are impatient,incompetent, inebriated,timid,indecisive,oblivious of their surroundings that it would be safer for all concerned if they had to use public transport.
