if i bought a vauxahll corsa d and then upgraded a few of the parts to the corsa vxr spec because its still a registered vauxhall part would my insurance have to knw about it?

If your car didn't come from the factory with it on then yes you have to tell them.

Yes every single modification will need to be declared. The last thing you want is to give your insurers a chance to refuse to pay out.

That said as they are Vauxhall parts the insurers will be a little more likely to consider it. But if you make it look or run like a VXR then expect the insurers to charge you the VXR rate.

Agreed. You must tell them everything. Even visual modifications that don't enhance performance might still increase the steal-appeal so the premium will still go up.
