In-Car Breathalysers Become Compulsory In France

I prefer to not drive after consuming any amount of alcohol.

I don't think these are a good idea as people may conclude they are safe to drive when they are very slightly impaired or perhaps haven't fully reached the level of intoxication required to trigger a warning through the stomach system but have levels in the bloodstream that are still rising.

Clearly if you're goling to drive then don't drink. We all know this. What I find a bit saddening is when someone get's clobbered morning after just 0.5micro grams over the limit. An impairment test should be used in this situation I feel. After all, I know many people who do not drink at all and their driving is shocking. Seems unfair that a good driver with a high resistance to intoxication should lose their license on what is, after all, just a technicality.
