My parents just got me a 2000 mustang GT, and its a pretty tight fit between the steering wheel and the seat. Well the problem is, im not a small guy. i was wondering what i can do to fix this. only thing i came up with is an aftermarket wheel. "smaller. or flat bottom?" or maybe see if its possible to customize the seat to amke it lower somehow. i need about 3 inches more room. i can drive it how it is but its not to comfortable and its prolly not to safe.

thanks for any advice

You could also get some aftermarket seats which allow height adjustment.

If you put the seat further away and angle it more upright does that help any?

I'm about six foot eight and i put a smaller after market steering wheel on my mustang and i fit pretty well now but i will probably get some different seats as well so i can get a lil more space.
