How to improve wife's Chevrolet Spark 2012

Wife has a 2012 Chevrolet Spark. Bloody affordable and fuel efficient. Fortunately, this year's style is more rugged and confident-looking than the older Spark models. I don't mind sitting a bit uncomfortably (it's her car for Pete's sake!) and our son loves it more than my Mazda. :bigsmile: The brake's one of the best. However, this is my problem- the engine is loud. Coarseness is bloddy annoying. 4 cyl feeling like it's 3 cyl.

Are there any other ways to improve our driving experience? I dunno if my wife minds (I believe she doesn't), but whenever I drive it, I can't help but not to notice its being "too vocal". Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks!

What oil are you using, a higher quality oil may help reduce the noise. You're best bet though is to put some sound deadening material under the bonnet and over the bulk head. Be sure to get stuff made for car engines as it needs to resist a lot of heat.

My wife's spark would not be improved if I hooked her up to a 22000 volt transmission line.

BUY a heavy duty bat: atleast 75 amps, & replase the ht leads with gold ones or equivelant...good luck..
