Ok then, how many cars have you owned and over how many years? Can you list them? Did you name them, and did you have any favourites.

I've had 4 cars, a 206, 206 Diesel, A Rare Beetle 1303s and my current car. The Beetle was my favourite but it cost me a fortune to run.

This is kinda scary, ive been driving just coming up 7 years now, have had a retro ford escort (first car), peugeot 306, a 1973 beetle, a 1970 cal look beetle, a 1974 dolomite sprint, a golf gti turbo, my two favs (can't decide between them) an Astra VXR and a 1953 beetle...still have the beetle love it to bits, and definitely would like to get a vxr again sometime.

Very few actually owned by me, though I've driven dozens and dozens of different cars.

This is the list of those I've owned since 1987:-

Fiat 127
Montego 2.0Si
Montego 1.6L (dreadful car)
Primera 2.0i SLX Auto (my only new purchase)
Peugeot 406 2.2 HDi
BMW 528i SE Auto

We also had a Seat Ibiza 1.9D for a few years but that technically wasn't mine.

As you can see I get value for money from my cars, I keep them for ages. I maintain them meticulously (more accurately HAVE then maintained meticulously). I can do simple stuff like wiper blades, lamps, filters etc. but leave anything more serious to the professionals. Maintenance is far cheaper than repairs in my experience.

owned in: Model: Year of Production:
1991. Ford Escort mk1 1300 LX 1974.
1993. Opel Ascona B 1200 1977.
1995. Renault 4 TL N/A
1997. VW Golf mk3 TDI 2004.
2003. Seat Ibiza 1,9 TDI 2003.
2005. VW Golf mk4 TDI 2002.
2007 Renault Clio 1,2 2002.

I have driven loads of cars and all manner of exotica, but I actually have owned only 9 cars since the start of my driving career starting with:

Vauxhall Viva Bedford HA van "Ex British Gas auction lot"
Mk1 Cortina 1500 GT with the Pre-crossflow engine.
MK2 Cortina 1600 L.
Rover Coupe 3.5 litre.
Mk4 Cortina 1300 L.

Nothing at all while at University.

Rover Sterling 2.7 I think?
Mercedes SL 2.8
Mercedes SL 3.2
Saab 9-3 Aero Sports Saloon.

Don't think I missed anything out, I have owned a few more cars back in the early days but unfortunately they either blew up or died in another horrendous manner after a very short time of ownership :embarrest: so not really worth listing.

Vauxhall Magnum Coupe 2300cc Blydenstein Tuned 1976
Now that is a nice car, Bet you wish you had it now...

I do miss a few of them Vauxhalls, the Magnum and the HSX Chevette probably the most.

I did a full rebuild of the Coupe, spent a few months off the road getting some TLC.

At the all Vauxhall rally at Billing, mid-late 80s. It's first run after it's rebuild.

At Castle Combe late 80s before they ruined it with those chicanes!

I'm 22 years old and haven't owned many cars, In fact 3 in total.... But....
The catch is that I still own all 3.....

In order of apperance....

1998 Peugeot 306 1.9 TD Vivant, currently undergoing an engine transplant (very little of it is original) This is my first car and a bloody good one, bought when it was 9 years old (in 2007) with 25500 miles on it (now 75000~) and a full dealer service history, all old MOTs and bought from the dealer that it was originally sold at brand new.... 1 Owner previous to me...

1994 Peugeot 205 1.8 TD Mardi Gras bought from a dealer in Exeter, and I payed far too much for it, however it had a full service history, all old MOT's and it just went through the last MOT with nothing wrong, no advisors.... and it's 17 years old.... it's now done 71500 miles (used to have 69500 miles) 1 Owner previous to me...

1987 Peugeot 205 1.9 GTI bought from my friends uncle for a fringin' steal....
This by far and away one of, if not the lowest milage 205 gti's in the country,
was an amazing find with all the paperwork in order... 1 owner previous....

Thats all of them....

Ihave just rembered a VW Derby is also missing.

And a Renault 25 Monaco Spec, (The best interior I've ever had) The interior was designed by the same chap who designed the Countach. I believe a whole herd of cows went into the interior leather wise

My list is small, but my ego is big!

1994 1.8TD Escort - Scrapped
1996 1.8 Prelude - Scrapped
2003 Mazda 323 Sport - Gave away (part of the Evo Deal)
2005 Miti Evo 8

I have never sold a car.

Skoda Estelle (hey, who's going to pinch it? Plus it's RWD and previous owner had ah competition carb fitted... :D)
Ford Fiesta
Skoda Favourit
Peugeot 405 (former dog kennel and builders skip with electrical faults - ugh!)
Toyota Corolla (Serious engine problem, lost power in 2nd)
Skoda Octavia 1.6MPI
Skoda Octavia vRS TDi

You poor guy. Have skoda taken your wife hostage untill you have tried there whole range? lol

Wasn't impressed by the Pug or Toymota. Ford was ok but nothing to shout about.
Likewise, I get to drive various manufacturers through work. Not impressed by Renault. Fiat or Citroen. Really hate the Vauxhall Movanos, whilst the Astras don't hold a candle to the Octavias. Mondeo test car was ok, but never going to be really acceptable (smallest engine 2.0L at the time, not really economical).

Hence, I keep coming back to Skoda. Now, if I could find a Felicia 1600KC for winter :D
