Hey, i'm new to all this, I've got a 316i e36 and was wondering if there is any cheap things i can do to gain BHP, planning an engine change in the spring 2/2.5, any suggestions would be great, thanks.

Hi Dan and welcome to TorqueCars. The 2.5 is a great engine to drop in. For now it seems a bit pointless tuning up an engine if you are going to be ripping it out later on. Try a bit of weight reduction and renew the suspension bushes and fit uprated shocks all round, it will improve the handling and you'll be ready for the new engine.

What is the mileage like on it?
