Help with suspension

Hey guys,

Lately I have found that my MK4 golf has been pretty bouncy on the motorway and also has the same feeling going round corners

It has 17" wheels and standard suspension.

Just wondering what I could do to fix this. Whether I should firm the suspension, coilover kit etc?

Any ideas which make to get?

All help appreciated

Hi there, the Mk4's do suffer from poor suspension, even on the GTi models.

Some nice eibachs, Tein, Koni or Bilstein should see you right. Get adjustable ones if you can.

If you bounce the car by hand whilst it is parked it should settle within a bounce. If it doesn't then it is your dampers that are shot so you might just get away with getting a decent set of dampers.

You might find the wheels are part of the problem especially if they are quite heavy.

Brilliant, I'll have a look for those makes.

I wasn't sure whether to get full new suspension or coilovers
