I have a pioneer header unit, I am looking to use a TS-WX22A or a TS-WX11A yet to decide which one (Open to suggestions) would it be best to connect a Amp to them and then connect the standard speakers or just use the amp to run the bass speaker. thanks for your help.

Depends on how much you want to spend mate.
Best way would be gt a head unit with at least 3 outputs

3 amps - 2 X 2channel and a mono (class D) one
New speakers up front connected to one amp that is connected to the front RCA output
New speakers in the back connected to 2nd amp and connected to rear RCA
Sub connected to mono amp and set to sub on the headunit

only benifit your proberly going to see if at loud volumes

I wouldn't hav thought you'd need the amp for the standard speakers. But if you were planning to upgrade them I would probably wire them up to the amp ready.

I have a SONY CDX-M620 head unit in my Suburban. That is connected to a set of Kenwood KFC-415C in the back and a set of Boston Acoustics S35 in the front. NO SUB. That is a total of 4(FOUR) speakers. I get plenty of sound out of this setup with out an external amp. So I would suggest just the sub hooked up through the amp, as your vehicle is quite smaller you should be fine for most daily driver Radio/CD/MP3 listening.
