Hello there, Mark here from Australia
I have recently Purchased a 2006 Hyundai Getz TB 1.6L Petrol Hatchback in the Colour White, always Garaged and in Excellent Condition from an elderly Lady.
I have Changed the Engine Oil to Castro Magnatec Stop Start 5-W30.
Also Changed the Manual Gearbox Oil to : PENRITE Pro Gear Oil 75W - 85.
New Spark Plugs.
New Inboard Cabin Filter’s and I have just Smoothed out the Inside of the Bottom and Top of the Standard Air Filter Box and Added a K&N Performance Panel Air Filter. I then Disconnected the Battery for about 30Mins, this Deletes the Air Flow Data in the Memory. I have now a Reconnected the Battery and started the Engine on Full Throttle and then released it as soon as it reached 5000 rmp, I then drove it for 10 Mins. The New Air Flow Data is now Logged into the Memory. It will be very interesting to see how much better the Car run’s over time ? But the Throttle response is no Awesome.
My next lot of Upgrades are as follows.
1. 2” Sports Cat Back Exhaust.
2. Alloy Mag’s and Tyres.
Alloys I,m going to Purchase are Black 15”x 6.5 Starcorp Racing Pursuit. Tyre width to Suit ? : 185 / 55 R 15 - not shore what Brand Tyres I will Purchase as yet? Possible Bridgestones.
3. Suspension Front : New Super Pro Front Lower Control Arm Kit. Also : LH & RH Front Struts, New Urethane Bumper and Dust Boots to Match.
4. Suspension Rear : New Shocks and Super Pro Rear Beam Axle Pivot Bush Kit.
5. Custom Exhaust Headers. A Tune and Re: Map.
Any Pointers or Advice on any of these Upgrades would be Greatly Appreciated.
Thank You. Cheers Mark.
