Hi all,

Im from yorkshire and new to the world of modifying cars. Recently bought a 2003 Focus 2.0 Zetec and looking to improve its performance from the standard 130Bhp. Have been chatting to my cousin and thinking that an induction kit and a new exhaust would be a good start possibly followed by a remap.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Hello there and may I extend to you a very warm welcome. Nice to meet you.

I would say that some sports cams, sport catalyst and panel air filter should do you nicely.

Have you considered swapping in a 2.0Turbo lump?

I had thought about an engine swap but not sure about cost etc. I assume an RS engine wouldnt be to hard to fit though locating one could be tricky. What other engine possibilities are there?

Have a look round the local breakers yards and see what is around. Then see if anyone has done the swap themselves for pointers on engine mounts etc...
