Have you ever had formal professional instruction for advanced driving/defensive driving/skid control or some aspect of track day/motorsport driving?

Tell us about your experiences and any tips you picked up.
 
Yes track day courses at Silverstone 'Ferrari & AM DB7' and Donington 'Porsche 911', marvellous days well spent but it's not cheap. Learned how to take bends properly and how to follow racing lines. Brake only on a straight and never on a bend, show respect for fellow drivers.
 
I have had a couple in my own car .Can't afford to do T9's upmarket ones as much as I would love to do them :( :)
