Have you got any breakdown stories or experiences to share?

Perhaps you've been lucky and have never broken down - if that is even possible!

I've run out of fuel, had a totally wrecked wheel, and had an engine throw a conrod through the sump and dump all the hot oil into the exhaust pipe through the hole it made! That was my most spectacular breakdown and it was on a replacement engine fitted less than a week earlier!

Yes well for accuracy with my latest SAAB of 14 years, I have broken down 5 times |B
Once for a battery, once for an alternator, twice for a puncture and the last time (A few months ago) was for a crank position sensor. Not too bad all things considered

Yes. Many times. I'll have think on the most amusing and come back to you :)

No Rad , I think it was just it's time. I was told the SAAB alternator is good for about 8 years or two terms of their preferred battery manufacturer. I have since upgraded both to Bosch versions |B

Only in the brand new Citroen Relay LWB van I bought in 2008.

In fact the 1st issue was a ejected hose clip after 3 days

itthen spent more time on a recovery truck than on the road
