Half the power for double the economy

Would you accept a tune which gave you half of your cars current power but double the economy?

We live in a world where we want it all but it's not usually possible so would you be prepared to make this compromise?

How much of a compromise would you be willing to make for double the fuel economy?

I would take 25% less top end power for double the economy. I'm keeping the bottom end power as it is though.

If only cars were more reactive to our driving style and demands, it can't be out of the realms of probablity to develop a super economical car when on light throttle and real racer when the throttle pedal goes down.
