if i was you i'd start saving up , on the up side go for a k&n induction kit for around £70 and about 5 bhp more than standard plus they sound great too , and not forgeting an fse power boost valve or in common term's an adjustable fuel regulator for about £70 ish , more fuel = more power , then you need an exhaust to but you can't afford that yet

I have recently purchased a 93 GTI as a project car.
In the short term I don't want to spend too much money as I'm saving for a body kit. I would like to increase the power output but am only willing to spend upto £150 just now. I am unsure whether than are certain upgrades that will particularly suit the 8v engine that I have. Any suggestions appreciated?
